Top 10 OSHA Violations Cited For The Construction Industry

We’ve compiled our Top 10 Most Frequently Cited OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry for the 2015 fiscal year. OSHA publishes their own list each year, but it covers all standard violations and for all industries. Our list is geared toward the most cited Federal OSHA standards for the construction industry using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code number 23.

The top nine standards making up the list are the same top nine from the previous year and are in the same exact order. Taking the No. 10 spot was another standard for fall protection, Standard Number 1926.502 for Fall protection systems criteria and practices. This bumped Standard Number 1926.651
for specific excavation requirements from the Top 10 and into the No. 11 spot.

Below is the list of the most cited OSHA violations for the construction industry (NAICS Code: 23 Construction) for Fiscal Year 2015 (October 2014 – September 2015). Included are the title and standard number along with the Top 10 rank for the previous year and the number of citations.
