Strategies For Success In Better Times – Open Letter From Construction Data President Bill Black

For the past few years, frankly, the Commercial Construction industry has been a tough place to be. Many of our customers were scrambling, taking any and all work they could find. Now, with employment in overall construction, including residential, showing positive trends our industry is bouncing back.

That’s terrific news and many of our customers tell me that they are more optimistic and upbeat about their businesses than they have been for some time. It’s still a tough business, make no mistake about that, but for the first time in years people can stop, take a breath and look around them.

I also find that many of our best customers are starting to revise and reshape their strategies. If you do not have to take any and all work that you can find to survive, what kind of work is then the best work for you? Where can you keep your costs down (hint: Location) and drive your revenues up (hint: Private work). And how do you find those projects?

That’s where we can help. Our bidding consultants are there to help you find just the right projects for your needs. Give us a call, ask for Mary or Janalyn and get a customized check-up on your project searches. Best of all, it’s FREE!

My company is in the start up stage. We will be biding on jobs hopefully this spring. We are working on financing for office help as well as equipment.
