Lead Manager™ – Master Account Features & Functionality – How-To Guide

CDC News’ Lead Manager™ accounts have the capability of being enabled with two (2) Sub User accounts per edition subscribed. When enabled with Sub Users the account is referred to as a Lead Manager™ (LM) Master Account.

A LM Master User has the ability to perform the following functions within the LM Master Account:

  • Add / Edit / Update / Delete Sub User Accounts
  • Enable Plans Online (POL) to Sub User Accounts (if LM Master Account is POL Enabled)
  • View Sub User Login Report
  • Create / Copy Saved Searches to Sub User Accounts
  • Save / Copy Projects to Sub User Project Tracker (PT)

 Add / Edit / Update / Delete Sub User Accounts

Click on the LM toolbar and the following page opens:

Click the tab and the following is displayed:

Click the icon and the following is displayed:

Enter the following information in the fields provided:

  • Login ID

    NOTE: Avoid special characters. Using the ampersand (&) in a login ID will not allow Address Book to function properly in the LM Sub User account. Spaces, dashes, underscores & email addresses are acceptable. If Login ID entered is already in use an alert message with display.

  • Password
  • Sub User’s First Name
  • Sub User’s Last Name
  • Sub User’s Email Address

NOTE: An email will be sent to the sub user providing them their Login ID and Password

  • Publication(s)

NOTE: To select multiple Publications, hold down the “Ctrl” (Control) key on keyboard

  • Plans

    NOTE: If Master Account is enabled for Plans Online (POL) and plans are needed for the Sub User Account, check box to enable POL on the Sub User Account

Click and the following is displayed:

  • To login from the LM Master to a LM Sub User account click the Login As
    link and you will be transferred into the LM Sub User Account without effecting the Last Login Report
  • To Edit the Sub User Account click the Edit icon
  • To Delete the Sub User account click the Delete icon

    NOTE: Once a Sub User Account is deleted it cannot be recovered

  • To Change Password for a Sub User Account click the Change Pwd
    link and the following opens:

     

Enter old password and click and the following is displayed:

Enter new password and confirm by re-typing it in the “Confirm password” window and click

View Sub User Login Report

To view the Sub User Login Report,
Click on the LM toolbar and the following is displayed:

 

Click the tab and the following is displayed

The following information is displayed

  • Sub User Account: Login ID – Sub User First Name / Sub User Last Name
  • Last Login: Last Login Date
  • No. of Logins: Total number of logins to date by Sub User

Create / Copy Saved Searches to Sub User Accounts

When creating a new Advanced/Saved Search or Editing an existing Saved Search, the LM Master user has the ability to select which LM Login ID to save the new or edited search for.

After creating a new Advanced Search and clicking or editing an existing Saved Search by clicking and selecting and clicking then editing the Saved Search and/or scrolling to the bottom of the search Advanced Search form and clicking , the following is displayed:

The new or updated Saved Search can be saved for either the LM Master or Sub User by:

  • LM Master User: Select the LM Master Login ID in the “Save it for”: dropdown and clicking
  • LM Sub User: Select the LM Sub User Login ID in the “Save it for”: dropdown and clicking

 Save / Copy Projects to Sub User Project Tracker

When clicking the Project Tracker (PT) icon in project brief or detail format, the LM Master has the ability to save projects to either their PT or any of their Sub Users.

After clicking the icon for a project the following is displayed:

The project can be saved in the LM Master or Sub User Project Tracker default “My Jobs” folder by:

  • LM Master User: Select the LM Master Login ID in the “Save it for”: dropdown and clicking
  • LM Sub User: Select the LM Sub User Login ID in the “Save it for”: dropdown and clicking

NOTE: Only LM Master Users have all the functionalities outlined. A LM Sub User does not have these functionalites.
