1. Light gauge wire used as temporary fasteners in construction work. 2. Soft annealed steel wire used to join lath supports, attach lath to supports, and attach accessories. 3. Wire (generally No. 16, No. 15 or No. 14 gauge) used to secure intersections of reinforcing bars for the purpose of holding them in place until concreting is completed.
