A synthetic rubber (polychloroprene) that is used in fluid or sheet applied elastomeric roofing membranes or flashing; sometimes called chloroprene rubber; sheets are available with or without reinforcing fabric; resists weather, heat, oils, solvents and abrasion; can be used in an inverted roof assembly, a loosely laid, ballasted, or fully adhered.
